About Russ
Russ is the son of an award winning photographer and began developing his talents at a pretty young age. Showing many signs of having a natural flair for all things artistic, it was only a matter of time before the right outlet was identified.
Following an Engineering career that began with his time in the Royal Navy, Russ was struck by the inspiration he needed when he tied the knot himself at Walt Disney World, Orlando. It was a combination of amazing Customer Service and fabulous artistic photography that pushed him in the direction he had been hoping for, for years.
With a mentoring relationship with his own Wedding Photographer, Russ began to build a very strong portfolio and set out offering the same level of service that he had experienced in Florida. The more involved he was with the Weddings, the more passionate he became.
Having found it so very difficult to find a photographer at home that could match the business ethics experienced in Orlando, Russ saw a couple of opportunities. Firstly, the market needed a fresh approach to add the pleasing elements that were experienced in the USA and secondly was the opportunity to be the person to deliver the Customer Satisfaction and quality that he received and believes every newly wed is entitled to. Russ has managed to successfully translate those ethics excellently with his extremely unobtrusive, friendly and relaxed style of photography, coupled to the very personal way in which he deals with every one of his clients.
A large number of Weddings completed and the enthusiasm, drive and passion are greater now than they ever were. Russ has devoted an enormous amount of time to understanding what people want from their photographer and is constantly developing his approach. The one thing that remains consistent is his uncompromised commitment to excellence in Customer Service and Satisfaction.
It is a very exciting time indeed for Russ as at 32 years old, is very happily married to Leeann and they have a beautiful one-year-old son named Morgan. The development of "Captured!by Russ" is number 3 on a list of the 3 greatest things in his life. The first two are also mentioned in this paragraph!
